Community theatre is truly all about community. High Tide could not exist without the support and dedication of our volunteers, from the actors on stage and the crew working behind the scenes to the costume sewers, set-builders, technicians, and even the Board of Directors!
Utilizing the talents of each one of our volunteers, High Tide provides a variety of opportunities for involvement. We are always looking for new and enthusiastic volunteers to add to our crew! There is room for any level of experience; we truly have a place for everyone, and if you have the desire to be involved, we can teach you what you need to know!
Volunteering at High Tide is an excellent opportunity to support local community theatre, and a great way for people of any age to experience how the magic of theatre is created. High Tide Theatrical is seeking dedicated individuals to join its Board of Directors. Board members play a crucial role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction, ensuring financial stability, and supporting its mission to enrich our community through the performing arts.
Responsibilities:
– Strategic Leadership: Participate actively in board meetings, discussions, and decision-making processes to uphold the organization’s mission and vision.
– Financial Stewardship: Make a meaningful financial contribution to High Tide Theatrical annually, demonstrating commitment and support to the organization’s financial health and sustainability.
– Community Engagement: Actively engage in fundraising efforts and donor cultivation to help secure resources and support for the theater.
– Advocacy and Promotion: Serve as an ambassador for High Tide Theatrical in the community, promoting its programs, events, and initiatives.
– Governance: Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, as well as adherence to best practices in nonprofit governance.
– Volunteer Commitment: Volunteer time and expertise to support theater productions, events, and other operational needs.
– Membership: Maintain active membership in High Tide Theatrical by participating in productions and attending performances throughout the season.
Qualifications:
– Passion for the performing arts and a commitment to High Tide Theatrical’s mission.
– Previous board or volunteer experience in nonprofit organizations preferred.
– Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Willingness to actively participate in fundraising activities and donor stewardship.

Our front of house volunteer opportunities include check-in, ushering, concessions, and merch stand. All front of house volunteers are also invited to see the show for free if there is an available seat!

Our set design crew is always looking for volunteers to help build and paint sets for the upcoming shows! If you can use a hammer and a screw gun, we could use you. Prior experience is not necessary but is always helpful!
